The customs bonded warehouse Viawest Oy was founded in 1996 to serve the needs of cargo transportation through Finland to Russia.

Since then the company has grown continually over the years by taking a professional approach to its business, focusing on the fundamentals and developing and providing only the highest quality of logistics service to its customers.

During recent years Viawest Oy has implemented all the latest customs software solutions available and has thus been able to maintain its high standard of customer service.

Every year since 2007 Viawest Oy has been granted  “the Strongest in Finland” sertificate by “Asiakastieto Oy”,  which is  is a leading provider of information services for corporate and risk management, sales and marketing. Only 13,8 percent of companies rated by Asiakastieto obtained this strong rating in 2009. The classification is based on the Rating Alfa system, which analyses the company's financial and background information.

For many years Viawest Oy has been a member company of the Finnish-Russian Chamber of Commerce, the local Kymenlaakso Chamber of Commerce and the Finnish Freight Forwarders' Association.
